To Make a Copy of a Modification Object
You can copy a modification object. This lets you create a new modification that is similar to an existing one in properties and/or relationships. During the copy process the system will ask for a new modification number followed by a display of all possible attribute and relationships which the user may/may not choose to copy. All field data (such as description, priority, etc.) will be copied into the details of the new modification.
- Open the modification object you want in the Content pane.

Click the Copy icon
in the action bar.
The Copy Modification dialog opens.
If a mask exists for the number field, the system will assign the next available number. You can also enter the number or enter a mask and click the Auto Number icon to build a new modification / batch number. The system also displays all possible attributes and relationships that can be copied to the new modification.
- Accept or enter the number.
- Select the related properties and intrinsic relationships to copy.

Click Copy.
The new modification object's details display in the Content pane. Any updates to attributes or relationships can be done at this time.
